Successful format to be continued: BMWi manager training program to remain digital in 2021

A total of 19 managers from Azerbaijan and Georgia seek business contacts in Germany

German know-how is in high demand in the Transcaucasian republics of Azerbaijan and Georgia. This was already made clear by 19 young managers from both countries at the digital opening workshop for the BMWi's manager training programme "Fit for Partnership with Germany" at the end of January. Over the next nine weeks, they will complete their business training courses entirely online. This will include live-streams, Q&A sessions and interviews as well as group work in virtual workrooms. Together with the GICON® InTraBiD team, many of the managers are looking for IT solutions for digital processes in the life insurance sector, are interested in new offers and services in acoustics (noise damping, room sound, etc.) and want to expand their cooperation with construction and other engineering firms as well as with personnel service providers. Other participants want to find customers in Germany for insulation material made from basalt fibers, purchase agricultural technology and equipment for fruit production, or attract German tourists for their travel offers.

Digital format passes litmus test

In the wake of the Corona pandemic, the GICON® InTraBiD team made a virtue of necessity a year ago and transferred the entire program content to the virtual world. For some managers, this was even the only way to participate at all, given the worldwide travel restrictions. Thanks to interactive offers from the trainers, a lively group dynamic and exchange between participants and trainers developed, so that there were hardly any disadvantages compared to the classic face-to-face units. As travel to and from Transcaucasia is still not possible in view of the current situation, Saxon companies still want to meet online with the foreign managers and exchange experiences on the management of small and medium-sized enterprises, innovations and aspects of internationalization of business. With IMM electronics GmbH in Mittweida and the Technology Center Dresden, long-standing GICON® InTraBiD partners have already agreed to meetings with the foreign specialists.
